Compensation & Benefits Available at Sorensen Companies Inc.
Compensation at SCI is an excellent wage or salary based on education and/or skill set commensurate with wages in surrounding communities.
SCI has a full offering of benefits available to employees. Please note that hourly employees become eligible for benefits after 90 days of employment and salaried employees are offered most benefits on the first day of employment. SCI benefits all operate under a full Cafeteria 125 plan so that most premium deductions are made with pre-tax dollars. Below is a listing of our current benefits available, benefits are subject to change at any time.
* SCI offers medical insurance coverage with the employee paying half of the premium expense and the company paying the other half of the premium. We currently offer the choice of two different levels of coverage.
* Dental insurance coverage, paid for by the employee, is also available. Currently three different levels of coverage are available to chose from.
* $10,000 of basic life & ADD coverage is offered at no charge to the employee with the option to purchase additional life insurance coverage for the employee, spouse, and children for an additional cost.
* Long Term Disability is a company paid benefit in which all employees are automatically enrolled.
* Flexible Spending Accounts, for both unreimbursed medical expenses and dependent day care costs, are an available option for employees to participate in.
* AFLAC products are available for purchase with the cost of these products being the full responsibility of the employee.
* Six paid holidays.
* Paid vacations are also part of the benefit package available at SCI.
* After one year of employment, and at age 21, all employees become eligible to join our wonderful 401k Plan. This plan offers pre-tax savings and an after tax savings plan which is available through a Roth 401k. The company has the option to make a discretionary match, based on company profitability, to any or all money saved by the employees. For the past several years the company has been able to match 100% of the first 3% of money saved by employees. Our 401k is administered by the Principal Financial Group and we currently have 21 different fund choices for investment and saving of retirement funds.
