Although his hire date says 1993, Chad has been a part of SCI his entire life. As a child, he witnessed first hand the dedication put forth by his parents (Craig and Debbie), and he knew early on that he would have to earn his spot as a leader at SCI – and he has done just that. Right out of high school, he was introduced to the Sorensen world of construction as a Drops Installer. He has succeeded at many positions since then, including Foreman, Project Manager, and Director. After a decade of blood, sweat and tears, he gained extensive knowledge and experience in both the field and office operations. In 2004, Chad accepted the promotion to President of SCI, and continues to carry on the Sorensen legacy.
Chad is a Master Graduate of Rapport Leadership International and has “Paid It Forward” by sponsoring the majority of his Management, Administration and Veteran Field Employees to attend the same life-changing coursed that he has had the honor of attending. He is also the Director of the BUY (Building Utah Youth) Foundation, an organization committed to giving our youth in Utah the same leadership skills that Team SCI has learned.
Chad is frequently spotted at trap shooting clubs in Utah and Idaho, and has won several (dozen) belt buckles that he still needs to find a way to display. He can be found hunting waterfowl, camping, playing shortstop on the SCI softball team and enjoying family time – the Sorensen’s and his SCI family.
